Description

Discover a quick recipe for teriyaki meatballs that delivers irresistible flavor and satisfaction in every bite. Perfect for any occasion!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb of ground beef or turkey
  • 1/2 cup of breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp of ginger, minced
  • 1/4 cup of soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup of brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp of sesame oil
  • 2 stalks of green onions, chopped
  • 1 tbsp of sesame seeds (optional)

  • Instructions

  • In a large bowl, combine the ground meat, breadcrumbs, egg, minced garlic, minced ginger, soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, and chopped green onions. Use your hands to mix until well blended, but be careful not to overwork the mixture to keep the meatballs tender.
  • With your hands, scoop a portion of the meat mixture and roll it into a ball that is about the size of a golf ball. Place the formed meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper to make cleanup easier.
  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Bake the meatballs for about 20 minutes, turning them halfway through to ensure even cooking. They should be browned on the outside and cooked through on the inside.
  • While the meatballs are baking, prepare the teriyaki sauce by mixing together soy sauce, brown sugar, and a splash of sesame oil in a small saucepan. Bring it to a boil over medium heat, then reduce to a simmer until slightly thickened, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Once the meatballs are cooked, remove them from the oven and drizzle them with the teriyaki sauce. Toss gently to coat the meatballs evenly. You can also return them briefly to the oven for a few minutes to caramelize the glaze slightly.
  • Notes

This teriyaki meatballs recipe combines the savory sweetness of soy sauce with ginger and garlic, resulting in an explosion of umami with every bite.
