1 lb of ground beef (80/20 blend)
12 small slider buns
1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup of sliced pickles
1/4 cup of ketchup
2 tablespoons of mustard
1 small onion (finely chopped)
1 teaspoon of garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with garlic powder, finely chopped onions, salt, and pepper. Mix gently but thoroughly—overmixing can lead to tough sliders. Create 12 small patties, about 2 ounces each.
Heat a large skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the patties, making sure to not overcrowd the pan. Cook each side for about 3-4 minutes, until they are well-browned and cooked to your desired doneness. If you prefer cheese on your sliders, add a generous tablespoon of shredded cheddar cheese on top during the last minute of cooking, then cover to let it melt.
While the patties are cooking, slice your slider buns in half. If you love a bit of crunch, toast these in the oven on a baking sheet at 350°F for about 5 minutes until golden. This will give your sliders a fantastic texture.
On the bottom half of each bun, generously spread ketchup and mustard, then place a patty on top. Finish with a few pickle slices. If desired, you can also add some extra onions or even a slice of tomato for freshness. Cap it off with the top half of the bun.
Arrange the assembled cheeseburger sliders on a platter. Feel free to serve alongside extra sides of ketchup and mustard for dipping. Your guests will love these delightful little bites!
