2 pounds of top sirloin beef, thinly sliced
2 tablespoons of olive oil
3 cloves of garlic, minced
1 onion, thinly sliced
1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
1 cup of beef broth
2 tablespoons of soy sauce
1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon of dried thyme
Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
Begin by thinly slicing the top sirloin beef into 1/4-inch thick strips.
In a large skillet or wok, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the minced garlic and sliced onion, and sauté for 2-3 minutes, or until the onion becomes translucent and the garlic is fragrant.
Increase the heat to high and add the sliced beef to the skillet. Sear the beef on both sides, about 2-3 minutes per side, until it develops a nice, caramelized crust.
Once the beef is browned, pour in the beef broth, soy sauce, and Worcestershire sauce. Use a wooden spoon to scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet. Sprinkle in the dried thyme, and let the mixture simmer for 30-35 minutes, or until the beef is tender and the sauce has thickened to your desired consistency.
Add the sliced red bell pepper to the skillet and stir to combine. Cook for an additional 5 minutes, or until the pepper is tender but still has a slight crunch. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
Serve the sliced beef hot, over a bed of fluffy white rice or alongside your favorite roasted vegetables.
