Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds of top sirloin beef, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup of beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon of dried thyme
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

  • Instructions

  • Begin by thinly slicing the top sirloin beef into 1/4-inch thick strips.
  • In a large skillet or wok, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the minced garlic and sliced onion, and sauté for 2-3 minutes, or until the onion becomes translucent and the garlic is fragrant.
  • Increase the heat to high and add the sliced beef to the skillet. Sear the beef on both sides, about 2-3 minutes per side, until it develops a nice, caramelized crust.
  • Once the beef is browned, pour in the beef broth, soy sauce, and Worcestershire sauce. Use a wooden spoon to scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet. Sprinkle in the dried thyme, and let the mixture simmer for 30-35 minutes, or until the beef is tender and the sauce has thickened to your desired consistency.
  • Add the sliced red bell pepper to the skillet and stir to combine. Cook for an additional 5 minutes, or until the pepper is tender but still has a slight crunch. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  • Serve the sliced beef hot, over a bed of fluffy white rice or alongside your favorite roasted vegetables.
