Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound of peeled and deveined shrimp
  • 8 ounces of linguine or spaghetti pasta
  • 4 tablespoons of unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup of dry white wine (such as Chardonnay or Sauvignon Blanc)
  • 1/4 cup of freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons of chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon of crushed red pepper flakes (optional, for a bit of heat)
  • 1/2 cup of freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

  • Instructions

  • Begin by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C). Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the linguine or spaghetti according to the package instructions, typically around 8-10 minutes. Drain the pasta and set it aside.
  • In a large skillet or sauté pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes, or until fragrant. Then, add the shrimp and sauté for 2-3 minutes, or until the shrimp are starting to turn pink and curl. Be careful not to overcook the shrimp.
  • Once the shrimp are cooked, deglaze the pan with the white wine, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan. Let the wine simmer for 1-2 minutes to allow the alcohol to cook off.
  • Stir in the freshly squeezed lemon juice and chopped parsley. Season with salt, black pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes (if using).
  • Add the cooked pasta to the skillet with the shrimp mixture and toss everything together until well combined.
  • Transfer the shrimp scampi pasta mixture to a 9×13-inch baking dish and sprinkle the top evenly with the Parmesan cheese. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
