Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 pound ground turkey
- 1 cup gluten-free breadcrumbs
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1/2 cup milk (or dairy-free milk alternative)
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup ketchup (or gluten-free barbecue sauce)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, ground turkey, gluten-free breadcrumbs, chopped onion, minced garlic, beaten eggs, milk, dried thyme, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix the ingredients thoroughly until they are evenly distributed.
- Lightly grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan with a small amount of oil or nonstick cooking spray. Gently transfer the meatloaf mixture into the prepared pan, shaping it into a loaf. Spread the ketchup (or gluten-free barbecue sauce) evenly over the top of the meatloaf.
- Bake the meatloaf in the preheated oven for 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C) when measured with a meat thermometer.
- Once the meatloaf is cooked, remove it from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes. Slice the meatloaf and serve it hot, garnished with fresh parsley or chives, if desired.
