Slowcooked ranchinfused chicken on soft buns Ideal for busy weeknights Flavorful easy Crockpot recipe Tender chicken creamy ranch
Ingredients
Scale
3 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 packet of ranch seasoning mix
1 cup of chicken broth
1/2 cup of sour cream
1/4 cup of unsalted butter
8 brioche or hamburger buns
Shredded lettuce, sliced tomatoes, and pickles (for serving)
Instructions
Start by lightly greasing the interior of your crockpot with a bit of cooking spray or oil.
Place the boneless, skinless chicken breasts in the prepared crockpot. Sprinkle the ranch seasoning mix evenly over the chicken, ensuring it’s well coated. Pour the chicken broth around the sides of the chicken, being careful not to rinse off the seasoning.
Cover the crockpot and set it to cook on low for 4 hours. During this time, the chicken will become incredibly tender and infused with the rich, tantalizing flavors of the ranch seasoning and broth.
Once the cooking time is up, use two forks to shred the chicken directly in the crockpot.
Stir in the sour cream and unsalted butter until the mixture is well combined and the butter is melted. This will create a creamy, flavor-packed topping for your sandwiches.
Toast the brioche or hamburger buns to your desired level of crispness. Then, generously spoon the shredded ranch chicken onto the bottom buns. Top with your favorite sandwich toppings, such as shredded lettuce, sliced tomatoes, and pickles.
