1 lb (454g) fettuccine pasta
1 lb (454g) salmon fillets, cut into bite-sized pieces
1 lb (454g) shrimp, peeled and deveined
4 tbsp (60ml) unsalted butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 cups (480ml) heavy cream
1 1/2 cups (180g) grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 tsp (2.5ml) salt
1/4 tsp (1.25ml) black pepper
2 tbsp (30ml) fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
Lemon wedges for serving (optional)
Instructions
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine pasta and cook according to the package instructions, typically around 8-10 minutes, until al dente. Drain the pasta and set it aside.
In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes, until fragrant. Add the salmon and shrimp to the skillet and cook for 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the seafood is opaque and cooked through.
Reduce the heat to low and pour in the heavy cream. Whisk in the Parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper. Simmer the sauce, stirring occasionally, for 5-7 minutes, or until it thickens to your desired consistency.
Add the cooked fettuccine to the skillet with the alfredo sauce and seafood. Toss everything together until the pasta is well coated.
