  • Begin by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels and season them generously with salt and black pepper.
  • In a large, oven-safe skillet or cast-iron pan, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Once the oil is shimmering, add the chicken breasts and sear them for 3-4 minutes per side, or until they develop a golden-brown crust.
  • Reduce the heat to medium and add the minced garlic to the pan. Sauté the garlic for 1-2 minutes, or until it becomes fragrant and starts to soften. Then, pour in the heavy cream and grated Parmesan cheese. Stir the mixture well, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.
  • Sprinkle the dried thyme and oregano over the chicken. Transfer the entire skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
