Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds of mixed seafood (shrimp, crawfish, crab legs, and/or clams)
  • 1 cup of unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup of Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 cup of Cajun seasoning (homemade or store-bought)
  • 2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons of minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon of hot sauce (such as Tabasco or Sriracha)
  • 1 teaspoon of cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon of dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon of dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt (or to taste)
  • 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
  • Lemon wedges for serving (optional)

  • Instructions

  • Rinse the seafood under cold water and pat it dry with paper towels. If using shrimp, peel and devein them. For crawfish, remove the heads and tails. Crack the crab legs to allow the sauce to penetrate. Arrange the prepared seafood on a large platter or in a large bowl, ready for the flavorful sauce.
  • In a large bowl, combine the melted butter, Worcestershire sauce, Cajun seasoning, lemon juice, minced garlic, hot sauce, cayenne pepper, smoked paprika, dried thyme, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Whisk the ingredients together until well-incorporated, creating a fragrant and vibrant sauce.
  • Gently add the prepared seafood to the Cajun seafood boil sauce and toss to coat each piece evenly. Ensure that the sauce completely coats and infuses the seafood with its bold, Cajun-inspired flavors.
  • Transfer the sauced seafood to a large serving platter or bowl. Serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side, allowing your guests to squeeze fresh lemon juice over the top for an extra burst of citrus freshness. Provide plenty of napkins, as this Cajun seafood boil is meant to be enjoyed with your hands!
